Vaser for Hyperhidrosis

Adora Body Sculpting Clinic's patients remain awake during the procedure, as our physicians utilize local anesthesia. Our physicians then inject tumescent fluid into the underarm, as the ultrasonic waves pass through the liquid more easily than through solid material. The waves are set to a specific frequency that is able to damage and kill the sweat glands, and not the surrounding tissue to permanently moderate hyperhidrosis.

Not all of the sweat glands are damaged, as a certain amount is healthy, but the Vaser treatment does permanently reduce the sweating. It is an off-label use of the Vaser technology, but it does appear to be an effective one. The treatment is not for everyone, it's specifically for patients who sweat excessively. After using the ultrasonic frequency to damage the sweat glands, our surgeons suction out the dead tissues. It takes only one stitch to close the incision so scarring is minimal. The procedure can take as little as 25 minutes and the results are seen in about a week.
