What is Permanent Hair Removal?
IPL uses a specific beam of light energy to permanently disable and reduce unwanted body hair. This procedure is FDA approved for permanent hair reduction. Lasers can be exactly tuned according to each patient's type of skin, guaranteeing an effective treatment.

The IPL process uses intense pulsed light to gently remove unwanted hair, putting an end to routine shaving and waxing.
IPL treatments leave your skin looking and feeling smoother and silkier. This patented technology transcends the older, painful hair removal treatments to deliver long lasting results. IPL treatments are a safe, fast, gentle and effective alternative method for hair removal.
Who is a candidate for laser hair removal?
IPL lasers treat medium to dark hair. IPL is not recommmended for skin types V and higher. Because the laser is attracted to the dark pigment in your hair, white or blond hair may not be affected by the IPL laser. IPL is contrindicated for pregnant or nursing women.
How many sessions do you need before you are hair free?
Results will vary from person to person, but most patients will achieve desirable hair reduction after 5 sessions. After each treatment you will see thinner and less dense re-growth. Some individuals may require follow-up treatments until they achieve their goal. We reevaluate a patient with each treatment and adjust the treatment protocol in order to achieve the best result.
What do I need to do prior to my appointment?
The area(s) to be treated with IPL for hair removal must be protected from direct sun exposure for 4 weeks prior to and following each IPL hair removal session. The area(s) to be treated with IPL for hair removal must also be shaved prior to each session (ONLY SHAVING. No waxing, plucking or hair removal creams).
